Purchasing shelving from big box retailers often means corners are cut. Our shelving goes through an intimate and slower fabrication process that results in a more personalized product.

One thing we see a lot in the market is veneer. Veneer on shelves means a thin layer of wood is pressed, using toxic glues, onto some kind of substrate which is also assembled with things like formaldehyde. Veneer has its place in furniture but other retailers will often hide the veneer with stains and top coats that make it look exactly like the actual materials we use.

The only way to pump out shelving in volume is to spray the shelving with toxic film finishes like lacquers. Our shelving has a hand applied finish for which there are no short cuts.

Finally, handcrafting our shelving connects us to each product and order which means service is heightened and more connected if there ever are any issues.

All of our shelving products are made in Toronto, Canada. We source all of our material within a 75km radius of or studio to minimize our carbon footprint.

The wall shelf series does require assembly before mounting to your wall. We provide you with everything you need to do that. Basic tools like a level, a pencil and a drill set is all that is required.

We do still offer custom work! We have been working with Architects, Designers and end users for over 10 years to build all kinds of things for the home and workplace.

Everything is made to order, however we always stock parts for our products. Small items like our wall hook can ship within a few days. That goes for our shelving too but please allow for 2-4 weeks for all products to be properly made and dispatched.
